The CSKA Arena can be 70% full for the Channel One Cup

Rospotrebnadzor has responded positvely to the Russian Ice Hockey Federation's (RIHF) request for the CSKA Arena to be 70% full for the Channel One Cup, a tournament which is the second stage of the 2021/2022 Euro Hockey Tour.

This is a large increase from the previous capacity percentage of 30%. Everyone inside the stadium must wear masks at all times.

Russia, Canada, Sweden, Finland and the Czech Republic will all participate in the competition in Moscow.

President of the RIHF Vladislav Tretiak:

- We are grateful to the Moscow Government and Rospotrebnadzor for allowing us to fill the arena up to 70% of its capacity, we want as many people as possible to receive the opportunity to watch ice hockey live at the stadium. The Channel One Cup is traditionally a celebration of ice hockey for our country. Furthermore, I would like to ask our supporters to wear their masks and stay at home if they feel unwell. I am sure that it will be a wonderful tournament for us all!
